Youth Health Service Corp

- Youth Health Service Corp (YHSC)
is
a recruitment program that engages
diverse high school students as leaders in
service learning projects that address
important community health issues.
Students meet and design and implement
service days addressing health issues such
as Child Obesity, Oral Hygiene, and
Health & Social Issues of the Aging.
Volunteer training is required which
consists of 6 modules:
- Introduction to YHSC
- Leadership and Service Learning
- YHSC Website Training
- Vulnerable Populations & Cultural
Competency
- Legal & Ethical Issues
- Health Care Skills: Universal
Precautions, Health Observation, Data
Collection, Vital Signs
