Grades 4-6
The Cascades East Area Health
Education Center invites you to schedule
a fun and educational program for your
4th - 6th grade classes. Consider the
Hands-On-Science Day, a program to
increase the interests of young learners in
science.
The program features many hands-onscience
experiments that relate to
Nutrition & Healthy Habits, Poison and
Toxicology, Neuroscience and Brain
Awareness, Ear Anatomy and Function,
and Eye Anatomy and Function. Each
child who participates in our programs
will walk away with a free gift and more
excitement to the possibilities behind
science. Each teacher will also gain more
hands-on-science curriculum ideas and
information and extended lessons to
continue learning in the related field of
choice. All hands-on-science lessons are
in line with Oregon Science Standards in
teaching.
This program is free of charge and can
be arranged at your convenience. The
duration of the program is determined by
the school and their preferences with the
schedule setup. Please contact Shannon
Ryan at ssryan@cascadehealthcare.org to
schedule this program for your students.
